This piano has a truly extraordinary tone, instantly identifiable as a Bechstein. This piano is one of the closest we have ever heard to the tone of the famous Trident Studios Bechstein grand piano, as used on The Beatles "Hey Jude", Elton John "Your Song" and various Queen records. If you're looking for a piano to make classic sounding recordings straight out of 1970s and 1980s Soho, this one would be hard to beat

We have deliberately left this piano a bit battered as it will likely lose its character if we mess with it too much. The hammers are a bit worn but all work fine and sound amazing. The tuning stability is fine but not as good as a modern piano. The casework is quite worn in places but still looks incredible

If you want a piano for fine classical repertoire then this isn't the one, but if you want an unbelievable piano sound, this is an incredible instrument, and also an imposing piece of furniture
